Course Description:

Thesis (12 Credits)
Research project relating to major field under the supervision of the assigned faculties.

Course Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this course,students will be able to:
1. Know how to use the correct styles of APA writing for research proposal
2. Explain the format of GSoE thesis proposal format.
3. Develop their own thesis proposals
4. Able to present the proposal to the class.

Teaching and Learning Strategies:
1. Active learning, self-study and research-based instruction are the major mode of teaching and learning throughout the course.
2. Students are required to meet Thesis advisor in order to consult on the proposals and write the report on the monthly progress on one own work.
3. Students engage in performing certain learning activities, for example, research exercise, cases analysis, articles review, research proposal, etc.



Course Assessment:
Student with the self-discipline is required to submit the assignment in order to fulfill one own experience in doing research. The assignments are as following:
1.Consult with advisors and report on the monthly progress of works from November 2009 to February 2010 to the course coordinator.
2. Submission of three reflection papers on literature review in related topic.
3. Develop thesis Proposal and present to class.

Note: All assignment submitted must follow APA format.
Grading

WP as Work in progress (Student is working on thesis )
P as Pass (Completed Thesis)

Requirement:
1. Students are required to submit all assignments before the presentation.
2. Students who lack 80% attendance are recorded as lack of self-discipline and will be reported to advisor.
